What's up!
My name's Josh Abdul. I'm a web and interface Product Designer specializing in UI and UX design. I am currently a User Interaction Designer at HUGE. My portfolio work reflects a wide range of digital experiences, and products. Having a background as a Visual Designer enables me to produce high-fidelity prototypes that are beautiful and functional. Multi-disciplinary design is the inevitable future of this industry. Utilizing both disciplines has been invaluable when collaborating with teams of all sizes, but particularly useful when collaborating with smaller teams.
Working for multiple agencies has taught me to always design user-centric experiences while maintaining the highest level of strategic, creative and technical integrity. I've worked on a number of large-scale projects between HUGE and Siteworx. Some spanned across 4 separate design teams and 3 development teams. Projects at that scale have truly put my cross-functional team collaboration skills to the test. While working at Livingsocial I learned a lot about B2B e-commerce, expanded both new and existing product experiences, while developing new techniques in customer conversion. This also granted me the opportunity to work closely with a forward thinking internal UX team.
I'm always on the hunt for the latest and greatest mobile apps, design patterns, and interaction models. When I’m not face deep in a computer screen, I like to cook, draw, weight lift, work on my photography skills, travel, play video games, critique modern cinema, explore numerous parks, listen to music, and I have always had a passion for art. I like to try new things whenever possible.

Design Tools
Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator are my preferred tools for design work. I have experience with Indesign, but I only for print work or styling deliverables. I'm well versed in the Adobe Creative Suite and constantly looking for new tools.
Prototyping Tools
I have a lot of experience using various prototyping tools and I'm always on the lookout for new software. Nothing beats clean code, but my favorite tools to work with as of now are; Principle, Framer.js, Webflow, and Invision.
Productivity & Process
Productivity starts with a process. I have a dedicated page outlining my personal design process, but this is something that should always be approached case-by-case. While my journey to find the perfect productivity tool continues, here are a few of my favorites.
The best tool for design would have to be Abstract. It's the only version-controlled hub for design files and includes a plethora of collaboration features for larger teams (It's like GitHub for Designers and UXers).
The best tool for project documentation would have to be Confluence, due to it's seamless integration with Jira. Google Doc's collaboration features are lightyears ahead of Microsoft Office at this point. s. I have just as much experience with the rest of the tools listed below and comfortable with utilizing whatever works best for the team.
